Coil getting 12 volts, NO SPARK
Hello tech's, i have a problem with my wifes 2000 Civic EX. I'm am desperate for any ideas at this point. The problem started one morning when she was leaving for work, car turns over but no fire. I checked for spark and nothing.
I tested voltage going to the coil and it shows 12 volts, so i assume that means the problem is in between the coil and the plugs. I replaced the Ignition Control Module and still no fire. So i replaced the entire distributer (coil, module everything), cap, rotor, and spark plug wires today, and still no spark. Any ideas i would GREATLY appreciate!
Thanks

Does the CEL come on then go out when you turn the key on but don't crank?
Does the distributor (camshaft) rotate when cranking the engine? Easiest way to check that is take the oil cap off and watch for the rocker arms to move.
Are there any trouble codes in the ECU?

Yea, cam turns. Timing belt looks good.
Oil, battery, brake, and seatbelt are the only lights that stay on after i turn ignition on (no crank). CEL and SRS light come on, but turn off after a few seconds.
And as far as i know there was no CEL light prior to this. The only light that came on prior to this issue was the srs light. It came on for a little while, then after i figured out what that light meant, it suddenly turned off (this was a month or two ago).

I am having the exact same problem! Which fuse did you find blown?
I have replaced the ICM, Coil, plugs and wires....still no spark!
I just ordered an entire dizzy assembly but would bet the farm that that does nothing.
I have checked all fuses but can't find one blown.
Which fuse did you find was the prob. Thanks!

I went through the same thing. I found my problem after all the expensive parts (ICM, Coil, plugs) to be the cap itself. It sounds like your problem is more extensive.
If the coil is getting 12 volts, but still no spark, check to see that you have continuity from the inside center of your distributor cap to the individual spark studs inside the cap. This is where I found my problem to be.
If you have good connections in your cap and wires, then the problem is upstream. Check all your fuses that are involved in ignition. Your ECU (the computer) is probably ok if you are getting gas to the cylinders when you turn over the car.
