could be the distributor?
I got some problems with my 91' civic SI. Everithing start with the car turnig off by himself with no spark at all, then in less than a minute stars working just fine. One day i change my ecu for a pr3 ecu from a jdm b16, then the car start with the same thing more ofthen, but i knew that the pr3 ecu was looking for the knock sensor wish my car doesnt have, so i change my ecu again for the factory pm6 with a spoon sports chip in it, and the car start to work again and some times doing the main problems. couple of days ago my car just die no spark at all, and now its not working anymore. One time i saw a little of oil inside the distributor. Could be the ditributor my problem? IF SOMEBODY COUL HELP PLEASE

Could it be the distributor? Yea. Is it the distributor? I don't know. A number of things can cause a no spark condition. If the ignition coil is fried then you won't get any spark. If your ICM isn't working then you won't have any spark. I would check the resistance of the ignition coil, but i don't think that is your problem since it works sometimes. Since it works sometimes, it might be a sensor that is giving you the problem. The TDC, throttle, coolant, and MAP sensors are all used by the PCM to determine when the spark should be created. One of these sensors could be giving the PCM false readings and causing it to make the spark at an incorrect time.
