well if you got it new from a parts store theres a very high chance they sold you the wrong one, it might be the correct box but wrong item. I know sometimes they are a real bear to get in there. heres what i do. Carefully find something round and soft, like a 1 inch dowl rod, it a round piece of wood, you can get it at a hardware store, make it about 12 inches long, get your self a 3 or 5 lbs sledge hammer and place the dowl on the very edge of the cv cup, and give her a couple wacks with the sledge. She should pop in.
But before any of that i would double check you have the corrcet one. Just take it back and tell them it the wrong one, trust me 4 times outta 10 its wrong.
Good luck.

4 times out of 10?

Anyway, it just takes a little extra "umf" to get it in there. I had a budy move it in and out a bit while I guided it into the tranny, both clicked right in
