i was wondering if i could use the block from my 1991 hb dx on a 97 civic hatchback with a d16 block. the 97 is a non vtec motor. is there any major diff between the 2 engine blocks? a friend has a bent rod. tryin to help him out.

if no one answers - should have the manual there in the capital city - in the library, on reserve, is the hollander interchange manual.
i have needed it quite a few times
