D15B VTECH

I purchased a JDM D15B and when i received it i noticed that were the vtech solenoid should be was a block off plate....I was wondering if that means i can slap a solenoid on it since i have my computer and all wires ran for the vtech. Would i have to go ahead and put on another head or just slap the solenoid on my d15B
