You can not take smokers as an example and compare with people who remove converter from street cars. Removing converter has more impact to the air we all breath and should be stopped, except for testing purpose of your engine operation to see if the cat you have is clogged or not.

Not saying I want people doing whatever they want to(driving catless, and other harm to someone or something).
But people ARE going to do whatever they want to regardless of others opinion. I don't agree with Catless vehicles(even unregulated Military vehicles) that pollute the air everyday, but it's a proven fact of life that there are many out there that do that.

The starter of this thread might see alot of backs turned away from him or alotta doors & opinions slammed in his face. But sooner or later he's gonna find that one "Honda Catless/Cat Modification Forum" site somewhere. The internet has come up with some crazy things.

BTW I kinda sensed that smoker's example was kinda bad, I just went off the top of my head with it :P

I understand Mk's statement about the no cat. When I purchased it from a local small town for cheap I told him I wanted it to sound decent because be4 my cat had a hole anyways. I want a cat on there but money is tight to be spending it on something that is already done and is workin now. I was tired of driving it sounding close to a airplane. Sooner or later I will put a cat back on it. But I was just stating how my car is now. I know there will be other opinions and I'm glad to take them weather I like them or not. this is why though I came to the forum to get answers from others. I just didn't see the point in bringing up my cat when it had almost nothing to do with my question. Thanks guys for the information though.

And what I men't by the heat shield is I heard my pipe will get hotter compared to my old plastic air intake because it is metal and since it will I also heard that it could melt wires near my intake. Just little things I've heard so I wanted some opinions.

If the air around the intake is hot enough to heat the intake pipe to melt wires, the wires would already be melting from the heat in the engine bay.

Get a better exhaust and the drone "airplane" noise will go away. I suggest an Apexi WS2.
