Default in dash lights

hey, I have a 96 Civic DX Coupe and my in-dash lights are not turning on at all. The speedometer, temperature controls and P,R,D,D1,D2 lights are not working either. First thing I checked was the fuses, but that's not the problem. I'm thinking it's not the lights itself because it would be weird if all three lights went off at once leading me to think it's wiring...or something. I don't know too much about cars, only that I hate bringing stuff to the shop. Any input or advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Josh

I have seen wires get burned behind the cluster I would take it out and check. Also you can check for voltge with a ohm meter while it is out.

yeah that and if you have a head unit, then maybe the wires in the back arent together correctly, i had that problem before...easy fix! but that would be my best guess.
