dry out flooded computer!?
My civic took on about three feet of water a couple weeks ago. I immediately took out the computer, took off the metal casing, and have been dring out the circuit board near the pilot light of my stove for two and a half weeks now. Anyone have any advice about how long to dry the computer for, or any other post flooded civic trouble shooting tips? Thanks so much!
i would think that you will need to worry more about having water in your motor than on the car's computer...the heart of the car and most expensive part is the motor....so i would think that would be the most important of all!!
should definatly inspect the engine. Was the car on when it got hit with this three feet of water. Any details will be helpfull. but definatly if it sucked in water you may need to do some major repair.
3 feet of water? - your car will never be the same , even IF you get it running , over time anything electrical that was under waterWILL corrode & give you problems , not to mention the interior will smell like an old diaper forever
