I want to get a '98-'00 EK hatch, but it's hard to find one with decent mileage, seeing most of them are 100k and up. Will a engine swap improve the performance and endurance? What other things would I have to do to the car to prevent it from breaking down on me? Thanks in advance, I just wanna acknowledge myself before I buy a hatch.

 

100 k is fine on a civic. if it was well taken care of it will last another 100k

 

Ok that's good then. Just hope it doesn't break down when I'm driving for about 1-2 hours straight.

 

naa hondas are the most reliable cars they are great i know people whos civics have lasted almost till 300k miles

 

Thanks for the reassurance, so what I have to do is not abuse the car and give it some TLC and I'm good, right?

 

I personally know of people having civics with over 240,000 on them and still running fine. Simple things like on time oil changes and stuff like that will make a HUGE difference in a cars life span.
