Hi guys, I am new here and looking for information on the fast idle thermo valve on my 1997 Acura EL. Not exactly a civic, although it did come off the Canadian honda civic production line, limited production that sold in Canada and Taiwan i believe? After sitting for a couple of months my car has developed a surging idle after warming up. Don't notice it while driving however if I put it in park or neutral it idles up and down from 1000rpm - 2000rpm. Does this sound like the fast idle thermo valve? Where is it located and what is best way to remove it, and should I clean, or replace it?
