Default Thermo Sensor Switch

hey everyone,

i have a 97 Civic 160i SOHC. Problem im having is that my Radiator Fan is not switching on! SO the car is overheating.
I have been to a Auto Electrician and he concluded that the above switch is faulty. He disconnected the switch and done something and so the Fan switched on.
But when all is connected in its proper entiety then nothing happens, hence he says it is the Sensor Switch.

Any thoughts on that? Can i buy the part and fit it myself? Or does it take a Qualified Honda Mechanic to do it?

Should be a simple fix, just take out the old one and put in the new one. I'd get a good switch from Honda. All the Electrician did was make a circuit on the female end with a conductor (i.e. small paperclip).

Yep, that's all you need to do.

The mechanic was talking about bleeding off the system. The bleeder valve should be right near the switch, just warm up your car, give it a couple turns while running until all the air comes out.
