Default RE: First gear synchros?

I should probably clarify a bit... I'm not jamming it into first doing 10mph or whatnot, I just find that as I'm creeping to a stop (usually in traffic), first is sometimes tricky to get into until I come to a complete stop. Sometimes I gotta get going...now...so if I can't get first, I just leave it in second while rolling and away I go. Can't say for sure what the exact speeds are when this is all happening, but less than 10mph, or even 5mph, is a real safe bet.

Granted, I've only had the car 2 weeks, but this seems to be more of a problem when it's cold, and I haven't driven far. After driving a bit, the problem (if you want to call it that) seems to right itself.

I put mine in first when coming to a stop too, I always downshift through every gear. What works for me is just giving it a little rev when I want it in first doing about ten and it pops right in, in ep si's they are notorious for not going right into reverse too, so I do the same when I am shifting into that gear as well. I would however recommend getting it into first before leaving from an almost stand still, whether you have to double clutch or give it a little rev first is there for a reason I hope my info helped.
