Default Flaky acceleration

I noticed that this issue only arises after my car's been driven for about 30 minutes or so and gets warmed up. Initially, I thought I was just being crappy with the clutch. I'd start going and my RPMs will suddenly drop to almost nothing. You can hear the engine chugging really bad, but it won't stall whether I almost floor it or completely take my foot off the gas. Every now and then, it will happen when I'm not even on the clutch. Just sitting at a stop light and giving it a little bit of gas will occasionally make it sputter like that. Also, every now and then, I'll be in gear, around maybe 3000 RPMs, I'll hit the gas, and the acceleration will be laggy or stuttery. Any thoughts on what I should check before it renders me immobile?

hard to tell ,maybe distributor check your fuel pressure maybe fuel pump then check your spark if u can get a hold of a spark tester (put it between your plug and wire it will light up when it sparks) rev the car from under the hood get it to bog like that and check every plug to see if its cutting out spark, check cap and rotor, inspect plug wires my friend kind of had a problem like that he did alot replaced distributor even and came out to be his computer being bad good luck

okay yoou can test those things but i had the same problem. check you fuel pump relay (undaer drivers dash above fuse box) it may have a broken or damaged wire and also make sure that nothing metal is dangling around you starter that sometiime causes it too (right next to the tranny it a circle below the distrbutor) also check your fireing order

A plugged up/dirty PCV valve will also add to rough-ish idle issues.
Most noticeable at idle once engine warms up to typical operating temps.

Is the CEL ON?

What's the condition of the plugs, wires, cap, and rotor?
