Default Funny power loss!!

So i know people like to say that Hondas are hamster powered but mine was almost mouse powered. I was noticing that it was really hesitating and felt really weak. so i figured id put some seafoam in it and change the air filter and stuff. When i pulled the filter out i quickly realized why it was so gutless.... The airbox was packed with fiberglass insulation and the filter was chewed almost through good thing the little ****er never made it through! i am sure the glass would not have done any good inside the motor! It has never been parked for longer then a day so it must have happened overnight.... Good reason to only use filters with mesh reinforcment!!!

Might help to mention what year/trim/mods.

Always start by checking the plugs, wire, cap, and rotor (assuming your Civic is a 2000 or older).

Any CEL codes?

So if you already solved the problem why did you make a thread? You're welcome here on the site I just don't understand why someone would register an account just to create a thread about a problem that they don't need help with.
Also, you never clearly said in your first post that the problem was a rat. I understand your pun now that you've made your second post, but it didn't really make sense without knowing what the problem was.

I pretty clearly stated that there was material in the airbox from a mouse. that was clogging the airbox. it was pretty clear. i thought it was funny so i thought i would share.... i never asked what could cause a mouse to get in the airbox... learn to read!!
