Gas & temperature gauge

RE: Gas & temperature gauge
depends what is bad... if its just the tempature sensor gone bad or simply unpluged... or the clusters gauge has gone bad...
and the same with the gas gauge.... could be the cluster or could be the unit inside the gas tank....
thiers always 2 typical parts... either gauges or sensors... since 2 gauges have stoped working i would personaly try another cluster and if its the same then id say its the sensors...

RE: Gas & temperature gauge
Find the temperature sender, it is beneath the distributor screwed into the end of the head. It is the one with a pin and one wire, the one with two wires is for the ECU. Make sure the wire is connected. If it is connected, disconnect the wire and ground it then turn the key on and the gauge should go all the way up to Hot. If that works, then the sensor is probably bad (or the engine really doesn't warm up like it should).
The fuel gauge works the same way, take the bottom cushipn of the back seat out and remove the access cover and disconnect the wires to the gas tank. Turn the key on and the gauge should go to Empty. If it does then you need to replace the sender in the gas tank.
