Default gauges

I recently just bought a 2000 civic dx. I think the gauges might have been added later. are the stock gauges in that model white with blue light? I looked online and all the pictures show the ex model with black gauges. is this stock on the dx as well?

Those are aftermarket. Stock ones are black with a vaguely white backlight.

Those are aftermarket gauges you have. Sounds like Indiglo gauges.

ya and if its the original DX cluster it shouldnt have a tack either. just temp gauge on one side and the gas gauge on the other with the speedo in the center.
most likely its just a overlay. you can remove it if you dont like it. just remove the cluster, and push the side tabs to remove the front clear cover, then remove the small philips screws off the face and carefully remove the overlays BUT do not try and remove the needles or move them if you can! they break very easily!

its the stock cluster but with a overlay. the overlay is just a piece of plastic with some wires. you can remove the overlays.
