On my 93 EX the gauges just decided to go off one night, i played around a little and found if i push on the dimmer switch the lights will come back on, sometimes for a second and sometimes for a whole car ride. you think its just a loose wire or could it be something else? help is appreciated

 

fuse could be crappy
i'd replace the fuse, see what happens
it may not be visibly damaged

EDIT: nevermind, i skimmed over the part about the dimmer switch. do what RonJ said

 

Check for a loose connector at the rear of the dash lights brightness controller. Otherwise, replacing the controller should fix the problem.
