Default Grinding/humm noise after reverse?

hi everyone! new to the site and very pleased to find HCF! i've been reading quite a lot of the posts and i should say they are very helpful and informative. Now on to my question, everytime i drive after i reverse say from a parking lot i always hear this sound, somewhat a sound more like of a grinding humming sound. this happens everytime but only for a few seconds after moving forward from reverse. at first i thought it has something to do with my stirring with a wheel or some stuff rubbing but i figured it always occured after i reverse. i have a 99 civic ex AT and would like to know if this is a concern. i'm not sure though if it has to do with the transmission, i hope not. Thanks in advance!

hi thanks for the replies...it got 112,000 on it already. i can't describe the sound...i think grinding is the incorrect word for it..much like a buzz/humm...but only for a few seconds after i drive...but happens at every start-up..but while driving everything is normal..like shifting is smooth and there's no skipping or jerking...just bothers me though at start-up...
