Default grinding noise on reverse

i have an auto '93 dx coupe. when i drive on reverse, there's a grinding, clicking, squeeling sound. There are no sounds going on the foward gears. Is this a transmission problem? or brakes? Any ideas?

if its a manual and its your first time driving one, it could be just the natural sound it makes

yo bro your if rear brakes are drums they very well could be outta adjustment. this will cause all these noises in reverse due to the shifting that occurs betwwen the drum and shoe. when u put it drive this uses ur primary brake shoe. when in reverse u use ur trailing shoe wich could have the issues. just adjust em up and see what u get.cant hurt nothing.
