GRR! Engine turns off while driving, radio/lights still work, garage baffled!
I know, thats the problem im running into. When the shop gets my car, it works fine and has the last 2 times Ive taken it in and all the tests say that as well. I dont know whats causing it to break down so I cant tell them that either, its happened twice while driving and twice while parked. Its broke down again now and i really dont know what to do unless there is such thing as a mobile mechanic with computers and all that. Im just clueless as what to do. Right now all I can think is have it towed to a Honda dealer :-(
The lights seem to be working normal so the next step is to check for spark. You will need a spare spark plug and an assistant to turn the key.
Hopefully it will stay dead for a while so the problem can be found.

Since plugs are cheap, what if I just went ahead and replaced all 4?
It would be highly unlikely for bad plugs to cause a no start.
Stick to this plan -- Listen for the fuel pump and check for spark!!!!

Again, don't rely on the mechanics. You can help pinpoint the problem. Learn to check for spark and listen for the low humming noise of the fuel pump. And then when the engine won't start, check for both. I'll bet that when you determine whether the problem is fuel or spark, we will also be able to help you fix the problem at home (save $$$).
Fuel pump -- when the key is tuned to ON(II), you will hear a low humming noise in the rear (under the seats) for 2 seconds. If need be, have a friend turn the key while you put your ear to the fuel fill hole with the cap off.
Spark -- seriously, if you have any specific questions about how to check for spark, just ask me.
If you can determine whether you lack fuel or spark, you are half way home!

I have some new spark plugs that im going to change out this afternoon also. Will see what happens then!
Yes. And also check for spark at the plugs.
Going to keep that in mind, I mentioned that to my friend also and someone else. They really made it sound like you can really hurt yourself if you dont do it right or mess something up real bad, even they were a little nervous about it. If they are, i dont think I can trust myself to do it either. Will see what happens...
ok...internet research is telling me its the solder joints in the main relay are probably cracking. I found the relay but how in hell do you unscrew the bolt holding it up? I am already upside down in the drivers seat just to see it and barely can even touch it with my fingers. I really dont think they make rachets that small. How do i get to it and take it off?
