I have a 1998 Honda Civic EX. On March 2nd, I started the car and turned on the headlights as usual. When I turned the switch to the full headlight position, the headlight would not come on.
When I turn the switch to the 1st position, the parking lights, tail lights, instrument panel lights, side marker lights, rear license plate lights and daytime running lights all come on.
Checked the fuse and it's fine. Both lights would not come on.
I have changed the entire switch assembly but the full headlights still do not come on.

Any ideas at all? Should I change the bulbs at this point or is it still an electrical component issue?

 

First thing to do when a bulb doesn't light up is to test the bulb itself. Throwing in random parts proved to be a costly method. Was both low and high beam not working?
