i just bought a 2000 civic dx.it had a kenwood cd player that did not work and was moved from the stock positiion to just above the cup holder. i want to put a new cd player there but i cant get the old one out it seems to be stuck or something.can anyone tell me if there is anyway to find out what is holding it in

 

It might be bolted down. First in order to check and get back there anyway, remove the belly pan (under steering wheel, 3 screws and one clip). Then remove the glove box (2 screws under it, leave glove box clipped in while doing it so it doesnt fall on your head) And then the under dash (2 screws and a yank will do ya).
