i got a 2000 ex coupe with 65,XXX mile son it and manual transmission.
during the last couple months when i start the car after it has been sitting for some time. it starts up but not smooth. kind of a rough start but right away and you can hear something underneath making a weird sound when this happens.
i replaced the spark plugs a good month or 2 ago, any way this could be the problem?

also, this happens mostly when just starting the vehicle after been sitting but when i shift from reverse to 1st, or 1st to 2nd, i let go of the clutch and press the gas and i hear some click sounding noise. like i said, this happens mostly when vehicle has been sitting for hours.

any ideas for these 2 problems?

What does it sound like? Gotta give us a bit more of a hint.

 

i am sorry but i dont know howto explain it. just a rough start most of the time , and when shifting from stops and letgo of clutchand give gas, sometimes get a click sound.
i dont know how else to explain it.
