Default HELP!!!!

Alright, i just painted my valve cover of my 1996 civc exand i was putting it backon. I got 3 of the screws in on top of the valve cover but thelast one broke. So i took the valve cover off, and noticed that the screw was broken inside the engine and not even a little bit was coming over the top. How do i get out?
I dont want to drive it, cause i dont want oil spitting out everywhere. Please help

Its the bolt that is still intacton the top left of the valve cover

Oh, these are not fun. You're going to have to drill it out.

Here is the way I did a few. Check out this article.

Be EXTRA careful, thats an aluminum head you're dealing with!

You can try to get a dremel tool and make slot on top of the bolt so you can fit a flathead screwdriver. Its a longshot but it may work.

i usually can get em' out with just a tiny screw driver or ice pick... by tapping lightly on one side to get it to turn out of place... nextbest step would be to use the dremel tool and flat head.... i would personally drill last... good luck!

good to hear... just hope you put a drop of sealer around the raised cam lobes... it wont leak much but within a month it could look bad around that area. tho some people dont think its needed but ive had a leak twice with a brand new seals instaled, so now i always put a drop of sealer in those tight angled spots..
