Absolutely. Why the hesitation in addressing this problem? This is a key sensor for the ignition system. You car's problems most surely will be fixed by completing the necessary repairs to eliminate the P1361 CEL code.

is the sensor behind the timing cover? Because I see a wire bundle entering the cover, can I just pull that out to swap the sensor, or is it manditory to remove the cover. Also do I have to remove the eng mount and lift the eng a little to get to it?

Can you post a photo of the wires? Do the wire colors match those of the TDC sensor (see diagram)?

You can access the TDC sensor connector through a grommet in the upper timing belt cover.
