I recently bought a 90 civic hb with a d16z6 motor swap. Its kindof a strange setup- obd0 pr4 ecu chipped and tuned with crome, launch control, and vtec controller.

Car did run good and strong... brought it in for emissions, failed so I brought it to a shop for the basic 150$ repair to get a waiver. They replaced my cap and rotor. Drove the car home just fine but went to take off later and it died on me at a stop sign. It would restart with a bit of hesitation but as soon as I apply gas it bogs out and dies Brought it back to the shop for a free checkup and they recommend I replace my dizzy.

My ecu is throwing error code 15. Car still starts up fine and runs decent. If I let it run for a while it will eventually die. Sometimes it will allow me to rev it up in neutral once or twice but quickly bogs out.. I can hear loud suction from my intake and its puffed out some smoke once when it died.

I just need some opinions or instructions on where to start, what to test before I just start randomly replacing things. Thanks.
