Default Help with Timing belt replacement.

First time poster so please be nice to me, if i step outside the rules.

I am having a heck of a time getting off the crankshaft pully on my 1999 civic LX

I have tried a Air Wrench, then a bigger air gun, then heat and the big air gun... with no luck. PLease help, if you know a trick that can get this off.

Thanks

you mean the big crank pulley nut? air impact should take it right off.

I tried a "thunder gun" on it. (the biggest 1/2" impact gun that i can find)
and nothing. does'nt move. more ideas please. I am desperate.
(and yes that is the bolt i am trying to get off, the 17mm bolt that holds the crankshaft pulley on.)
thanks ahead of time.

Connect the gun to the compressor with a short thick hose, and turn the pressure all the way up. You can lose a lot of power in the hose. The curlycue hoses are really bad.

The bolt has conventional right-hand threads. Be sure you're turning it counterclockwise to loosen.
