ok i have a 95 civic ex and the stock motor ran but had really bad hesatation it idled ruff and when you reved it up it was like brbrbrbbrbrbrrbrrbrbrb and slowly reved up not as qiuck as it should well i went and got a new motor thinking it was running off of a couple cylinders and well this one does it too and i seen the motor run before we yanked it out of the other car and it ran fine and i replaced the fuel filter and spark plugs and wires, could it be the fuel pump thanks

i would check the cap and rotor and replace if questionable.

check timing.

and unless already replaced - replace all the vacuum hoses. the couple of bigger ones you can usually see them if they are bad, but all those smaller ones you cannot. and this only cost 2 to 4 dollars.

sure you dont have a plug wire not properly connected.
dont hear much of the fuel pumps being bad - i do not like changing them unless positively sure that it is the problem; and in this case, would want a pressure test of the pump to make sure it is bad.
you can check for spark at all 4 plugs - dont think it would be the coil, though.
