to me it sounds like a fuel problem. like fuel is not reaching the fuel injection system. could also be a clogged air filter. or fouled spark plugs. could be an air leak in his intake manifold.

could be a million things.

Yes, but none of those explain the fact that it only happens after the car is warmed up.
