Exclamation Honda Civic Sputters only When cold

Hi folks,
I have 2002 civic with only 85,000 miles. Recently when I start it and try to drive it cold, it start to sputter. The RMP appears to be high but no power goes to the wheels. It's not automatic so I dont think it cant be the transmission. I had the spark plugs, air filer, and fuel injectors checked and cleaned. No engine light comes on and had the computer checked for any codes, and its clean. The problem resolves itself after the engine warms up (2-5min), but there is a lack of power and the car accelerated quite rough until its totally warm. I've taken it to my mechanic and he cant figure it out. I really don't want to take it to the dealership unless I know exactly what the problem is. Otherwise they'll charge me an arm and a leg.

Thanks for any suggestion

Take it to another local mechanic who knows Hondas.
Or, move to South FL.

Just kidding,,,,

Have nothing better to say, sorry.

Don't talk bad about your Honda Dealer. They may have bigger overhead than other shops,,,,
