Default I need a new air filter encasment

This is my first post so I am alittle nervous.
But anyways here is my problem.

I have had my 2001 Honda Civic EX coupe for over a year and I wanted to replace the air filter.
I went to go unscrew where the air filter is located.
The screws are all stripped and the box is in really bad condition. I was trying to cut off the screw heads and then retape the holes, but it did not work out. Over all the whole case is ruined and I need to replace it.

What is the name and where can I find the part to replace this unit. I should probably call a junk yard to get the cheapest price but I do not evan know what to ask for.

Can I just get like a cold/hot air intake to bypass this whole unit? I do now know much about cars.

Can anybody help me find the part I need.

It appears that the previous owner tightened, instead of loosened, the bolts and the plastic around where the bolt is attatched to cracked.

Thanks for the quick responce, it is greatly appreciated.

You can also install a short air intake, or a cold air intake and get rid of that stock box

I would suggest a short ram intake (SRI)
It is the easiest to install, even for a newbie.
In order to install you need to remove the stock air box
So since yours is damaged, you can just take that out and throw in a SRI.

I think I am going to buy this SRI,

http://www.autocarparts.com/part/269/91/

I have an automatic transmission so will this SRI work in my car?

I noticed how some SRI list that they are for stick or auto cars. So this SRI does not specify so is it universal?

Sorry for the extremely newb question.

mmmm excellent choice
I have the exact same.
And i have the same year and trim as yours
however mine is a manual.
That intake will work fine with an automatic.
