I need some idea's on where to look......
My 93 1.5L Civic while driving suddenly stopped accelerating - I pulled over and the engine kept ideling. I shut it off and then it would not start again. I can see the valves opening thru the oil fill hole so it's not the timing belt - Has any one had this happen or know what this problem could be? - Thiswas a very strong, good running engine.......any idea's?
all input is welcome
Thanks.

If you still have plenty of juice in the battery it sounds mostly like a fuel problem: tank empty, bad gas, clogged fuel filter or injectors, dead fuel pump.
Could potentially be one of the vital sensors like the MAP, check for ECU codes.
Also check that the timing didn't skip, turn engine to TDC and pull upper timing cover off and look at the marks on the cam pulley.
