idle problems, REALLY NEED HELP!!!!!
What's up everyone,
I have a 90 civic 1.5L. I'm having an idle problem that's driving me crazy. Car runs fine but when I'm waiting at a stop light the idle tends to drop to about 500 rpm's and at times it stalls out. This only occurs when the engine is warm. If I hit the throttle the problem stops for like less than a minute and then it starts acting up again. When it dies i can turn it back on with no problems. Some forums have suggested checking and or replacing the tps sensor. Does anyone know what my problem might be? Could it be a vacuum issue, maybe my fuel vapor canister? Oh and i am not getting any engine codes, whatever the problem is it's not being detected by the ECU.
If anyone can help me please write back. I appreciate it.

Usually this problem is a sticky idle air control valve, which is mounted on the intake manifold near cylinder #1. Unbolt the valve and clean the air passages out with carb cleaner.
Also check the ECU for any trouble codes. You do this by looking at the LED mounted on the ECU itself, which is under the carpet on the inside of the firewall where the passenger's feet would go.
