Idle too low?
Hello HCF
I have a question, probably one of you would be able to guide me on the right direction. A little background...
Not too long ago I did a auto to manual conversion. I had broken my knock sensor and I did not change the intake manifold nor the throttle body therefore I had a jumpy idle from 1~2 I believe. I got to autozone to pull the codes and I had Knock, iacv, tps and map.
Long story short the car was still driveable, I was able to let off half clutch and have some power. Now I finally complete the conversion by repairing the knock and changing the manifold and throttle body. No Check engine Yay! and the iddle is beautiful somehwere in the 500.
The problem now is that if I let of the clutch like before the car turns off. When I play with it it doesnt have power at all. So little that it would roll back on a hill, if I let it go more then the car stalls.
PS: Civic 97 D16Y8
Is it supposed to be that way? What would be your recommendation? Is this due to the idle? Can I configure it so It would Idle so I would have a little more power to be able to take off and park without gasing it , etc.
Thanks in advance.
