i am having trouble getting my civic to turn on. recently someone tried stealing it by breaking the ignition lock assembly off the column. so i went to the dealer and bought a new one and installed it. now the proble is that the car will not start, period. the dash lights(engine, oil, blah blah) wont turn on and when i crank the key nothing happens. the only thing that works is the "ding ding" noise telling you taht the door is open. i connected everything back to where it should be going and still no luck whatsoever. is there maybe a reset button somewhere or something i might need to do for the thing to start.

go back to the dealer..and ask if there is a seperate coding for the car and the ignition.. they might have to code the new one to turn it on with the computer key... or else they might have brokeded it
