Default I'm not too sure what this is called

I'm pretty sure this thread will break a dozen rules, but I'm not sure what this is called and I need part numbers.

The seal is leaking pretty bad, and I'm trying to find a replacement, but i couldn't find any numbers. If i can get just a gasket that would help a lot.

the part is on the trans of my b15b7, auto trans.

Thanks in advanced, I just took a management position and I don't have any time to really look for this on the forums.

It's not clear which part you are talking about. You can go to hondaautomotiveparts dot com and look at diagrams of the parts and their official names.

Is that bolt at the top right of the picture turned all the way in?

yeah, tighten that bolt up and clean up all that grime. If you see a leak again, take another picture of where the leak is. You may need a new seal or gasket, but it's probably just that the distributor bolt isn't tightened.

Hmm..The transmission looks clean but it's in the middle of the pic. The area below the distributor looks pretty oily, so I'm gonna assume that's what you're talking about. There's a seal(o-ring) when you take the distributor off(3 bolts), it probably got hard & cracked.

Go here: http://www.hondapartsdeals.com/
Go to parts, enter your car's info, go to Distributor as the component.

It's part number 6(USA) on the far left side of the pic.

After doing some research I believe this is what it's called: CIVIC [92-95] Auto Shift Lock Valve Solenoid C | eBay

There's a filter screen on the bottom of the solenoid & you can buy it separate..but I'm not sure if it comes with the gaskets(as seen in the pics on ebay). That's about as close as I can get.
If you're interested in the filter go back to the Honda parts site...go to transmission and then AT TORQUE CONVERTER HOUSING...it's item number 7. Not sure which model it is tho. Hope this helps you in the long run.

Like the others said, that really looks like motor oil running down from the distributor seal. Clean all the gunk off and see where oil (or transmission fluid) first reappears.

I actually did clean it a few weeks before the engine went. It looked like it was coming out of the cylinder, I'm not too sure. I guess I'll see on friday when the new engine comes.
