Default Intake question....

Okay, so I managed to score an AEM SRI intake online for a decent price. The problem? I have a 98 Civic EX and its a 22-413 (which is made for the DX, LX, and CX)instead of a 22-401 (which is made for the EX). I noticed this after I bought it.

I was just wondering if there was any substancial difference in the two. I've never worked on a LX, DX, or CX so I'm not sure if the throttle body is in a different position or anything. I know some Civic's have vertical throttle bodies instead of horizontal throttle bodies like whats in my EX. All I've managed to figure out is the intake for the LX, DX and CX is longer than the EX. I see no problem with that... so long as it fits. I'm still waiting to get it, it should be here tomorrow, but I'm very curious and nervous to know if it fits or not.

Anyone have pictures of the engine bay of a 96-00 LX, DX or CX I can see?

Is it doesn't fit, anyone interested in a brand new AEM 22-413 LX/DX/CX SRI air intake for $110 shipped?

It will not fit.......the throttle body of the EX is on the side and the the LX/DX is pointed straight up in the air. Here is a pic of my LX engine bay:

I would, but all I have is a handsaw that barely cut through a 2x4. I'm assuming the metal would kill my saw. If the intake has two holes (air sensor and tub to the engine) I may end up trying to do that though. I'd really rather not go through the process of selling this one and getting the correct one if I can avoid it. Its just a hassle.

just buy a new one...I buy all my stuff New I won't risk it by getting some parts use just because they are cheap and they might not EVEN fit. Just to save a couple of bucks it's not worth it.

Looking at a picture of the piping and my engine bay, it looks like the only issue with the 22-413 is going to be that it slopes up where the filter is. So it may hit the hood, not to mention be rightnext tomy radiator fan.If I can cut the last angle off, it should fit perfectly, and ironically, fit EXACTLY likethe EX22-401 is supposed to. Yay.

Also, its a brand new intake, I just accidentally got it for a DX/LX/CX instead of an EX... nothing wrong with finding a deal on brand name stuff. =)
