its getting cold and I have a problem with my heater....please help!!
If blocked with debris, the motor would draw a heavy current and blow either the fuse or the power transistor. Then you wouldn't have any voltage at the motor. So that seems unlikely, but the next step involves pulling the motor anyway so you will see.
Go ahead and take the motor out, then connect it to a car battery with two jumpers and if it still doesn't run, it's certainly bad.
Also check the filters while you're in there. I think the glove box needs to be taken out of the car (unscrew the hinges at the bottom) to access the filter.

ok....this is where i am at...i have the blower motor unscrewed but still plugged in and i have the resistor unscrewed but still plugged in as well...i was tested some of the connections and i picked up the motor to move it a little...as soon as i rotated it 90 degrees, the blower started spinning....however, it only spins in the range of upside down to being on its side...once i rotate it just a hair more upright, it stops spinning....can you make sense of that and then perhaps explain it to me??? thank you...
This is typical when the motor is worn out. The carbon brushes are worn down to the extent that they barely touch the commutator. When you hold the motor in certain positions, they do touch, and it will run, but it would not be very long before a little more wear occurs and it will stop.
Since the motor is not intended to be taken apart, and they don't sell parts for the inside anyway, you need to replace the whole thing.
