Does engine D15 indicate my civic is DX model?

Depends on what's after the D15. If it's D15b, Im not sure. If it's D15b2 or D15b7, I'd say it's a DX or LX.

Default jdm civic 2001

My 2001 JDM Civic is model GK-RK3. Engine number is D15B3517799. I would like to get parts for it here in US, but it seems I need to know the submodel type. Can anyone tell me what it is? Thanks

The first line of text stamped on the engine block is the engine type. Below it is another line in smaller characters-- it is the engine serial number which doesn't mean much for identification purposes.

If your first line is just "D15B" you'll need to look at other features to see what exact configuration it is.

How can I determine the submodel of my jdm Civic so that I can purchase parts for it from the US?

What features can help me with the submodel identification?

Power windows, sunroof, cruise control, fog lights, other "extras". Post up some pictures. We might be able to give some insight.

while I try to post pix, here's all the info I can think of: My registration says Model GF-EK3; engine D15B3517799;rating 1490;it does have power windows;no foglights or skylight;the trunk is labelled Civic Ferio LEV.
This submodel issue will help me in the long run, but for now I am just trying to get control arm bushings to take with me to Kenya where the car is. Last year I tried to go with a headlamp and it turned out to be the wrong one, so am trying to make sure this time.
