knocking sound when making a left turn
Hi
 \\;
This is most first ever post!!!! \\; So please exuse my inexperience in asking a question!! \\;
 \\;
I was hoping someone can help me. \\; \\; I have a 2002 civic and recently there has been a knocking sound \\;coming from under \\;my car when i \\;make \\;a left turn, and only a left turn. \\; This \\;is not a frequent occurance, it only happens sporadically.
 \\;
Any ideas what the cause could be?? And if it is an easy repair?
 \\;
Thanks

Often a knocking sound when turning signifies a bad CV axle. Start by inspecting the inner and outer boots. If they are torn, it is a sure sign they need to be replaced.
dito.... you can also just jack the car up and rotate the wheel alittle back and forth if its poping then id replace the axle on that side. the more time ya wait the more it will be poping louder and louder till it posibly fails....
I don't mean to hijack your thread, but I have a similar problem with my 97 EK....
When I reverse out of my garage (I have to turn the steering wheel to the left to get onto the driveway), I hear one single 'knock' comming from the right-front wheel.
I've had cv joints go bad before, so i'm sure thats not the problem. Any ideas?

I think there's a good chance that the CV joint is bad. Put the front end up on stands, pull the wheels off, and inspect the front suspension components, as well as the CV joints, for damage and excess free play.
