Default maintenance items at 150K

My 1993 Civic is coming up on 150K and I would like to know if there are any other items that will need replaced when doing the timing belt. I will replace:
Timing belt
Tensioner
Cam seals
Crank seals
Water pump

A valve adjustment will be performed as well.
I have replaced air filter and flushed all fluids routinely.

Yesterday I put on a new master cylinder to replace the original that had begun allowing the brake pedal to move slowly to the floor while resting foot lightly on brake pedal at a stop light. Removal of the old one showed that fluid had leaked onto the power booster.

Are there any other parts that are recommended during this service interval?

check all your rubber bushings under front and rear of car.... ball joints...cv axles...outer tie rod ends..
maybe also a oil pump..since you are there you will know its new

Hey Ed, welcome back.

Replacing the distributor housing, coil, and igniter unit is a good idea at 150K miles.

When was the timing belt last replaced?

When were all of the fluids last replaced?

Thanks for the welcome Ron. I had not really left, just have not had any answers or questions lately.

The fluids were changed about 40K or so ago. However, as I said I just put on a master cylinder yesterday so the brake fluid is nice and flushed out now. As an aside, I had my nine-year-old granddaughter pushing the pedal while my seven-year-old grandson and I bled the wheel cylinders. It went quite well actually, and I was proud of them both.

I replaced the radiator awhile back, not too long ago, so the coolant should be good to go as well. I will check my records to be sure.

I bought the car with 92K on it and the previous owner said that she had the timing belt changed but had no documentation. I trusted her though, for some other things that she said I was able to substantiate. She told me that a part, or the whole, distributor had already been replaced, and that was the only time that the car stranded her. What goes wrong in there?

I elected to wait until 150K for the next timing belt change, which is imminent. I know that he recommended change for the belt is 90K, but as a precaution I would like to get it freshened up.

the coil goes out int the dizzy i have had that problem and got stranded once
and the rotor

Yeah, the coil and igniter unit have about a 150K mile lifetime. The distributor sensors, which are simple resistors, also have a finite lifespan, as does the distributor bearing.

Has the transmission and clutch fluid also been replaced?

By the way, the grand kids must have had a nice time helping you push the brake pedal.

I will price a distributor whole and in parts. A bad bearing there does not sound good.

Ron, the tranny and clutch slave were renewed as well.

Again, I appreciate the heads up.
