Default MT oil

Can anybody tell me how many quarts of oil go in a 6th generation Civic Manual transmission? I can't find my Haynes manual and it is overdue for a change

if it helps, i drained out about 2.5 quarts when i did my automatic trans (not all of it comes out if i understand it correctly). Plus i think there is a drain bolt in manual transmissions that removes any extra fluid. You can always measure how much you drained out and fill it back up with that exact amount if you're not sure.

It takes just over 2 quarts. With the car on level ground, use a funnel and hose to fill until it overflows at the fill hole.

best to go genuine...i use HONDA ATF-Z1. when dealing with transmissions it's best to not be cheap.

i'm not sure but i think manual transmissions use a different kind of fluid than automatics.
