ok i already posted a thread about this but this is the updated situation
96 civic ex 5 speed
i (like a dumbass) shorted the main terminal on the starter
just overhauled my car now it wont start about to lose my freakin job and so on, anyway
bought a new ecu, 2 main relays, starter
problem is when i turn the key on the check engine light sometimes comes on and sometimes doesnt, but either time its not running the diagnostic test (no blink indicating the test)
everything else works
cranks over fine, doesnt start
main realy clicks like crazy when trying to start
check engine light doesnt come on at all with the main realy plugged in, but i believe its good ive been throught 2 or 3
speedometer jumps around like crazy when cranking
all fuses and relays are good pretty sure
please help i am stuck

 

My lord son you have quite a problem on your hands. Give me some history on what had happened before in the past where did you get the computer engine size ecu numberECU type have you checked the ECU and such like this gimme everything. lets see if we cant fix this.

 

yeah ok all i know is the ecu said p2p a34 on the side its obd2
i got the ecu at the salvage yard but its good
fuses are good
wiring maybe

Ok before the new ecu did it have any problems
I am reallt thinking that the comuputer is shorted out will it start at all

 

it wont start at all, after i first shorted it it would just barely start but now not at all,
i think your right but the hard part is where is it shorted all fuses and relays good 99%
had the same exact problems with new ecu, main relay, starter, and battery

 

that speedo jumping around is a definite sign of something not connected right...
