I have an 02 civic and I was wondering if anybody would know if the honda dealer would extend my mass air flow sensor. it woudl help me alot thanx and how much should I expect to pay

And why?

 

the mass air flow sensor wire I dont think its long enough to reach the new spot on the sri to plug in the new spot. I think i have to cut it and put a longer piece of wire in. I am not sure doesany body have a 7th gen civic and a cai or sri. did you have to lengthen the mass air flow sensor

 

dont know anything about that - but i have to add wire a lot.

on the oxygen sensor for one. cut, strip, solder and add shrink tubing. not hard work - but i never did like all the trouble.

 

I doubt they will do it; they tend to not touch aftermarket parts. At least around here.

 

Yep, most dealers won't even look at a car that has aftermarket parts... plus I don't think you want them even knowing you have an intake if it will void your warranty, that way if they don't know you can just take it off if it ever needs to go in for warranty work.

But I don't know if intakes void honda warranties.

It's not a big deal, just splice some wire in there.

 

yeah the dealer won't do it I asked but my machanic said he would for like 10 bucks so that is good I guess ok did you know that aem discontuined their short ram intake they only sell the v2 now I was lucky to get one a left over from a warehouse anodized blue they wanted 220 for the sri and 399 for the v2 canadian I was liek wow 400 for an intake that is retarded.
