Default O2 sensor heater circuit resistance 10 megaohms

I was checking the resistance value of the heater circuit of my oxygen sensor today with my autoranging tester and I got a number of 10 MOhms (10 million ohms). Not a good number eh? I tried a oxygen sensor from a junkyard and got the same numbers. It should have read around 10-40 ohms I think, correct? I guess that means I'll have to get a new one.
