Signs that your bearings are bad are relatively low-pitched knocking from inside the engine, and the oil light coming on at idle even though it is full of oil.

well there was no metal in the oil at all. before the low oil there was a nasty knocking sound when i started it up in the mornings. i didnt hear any nasty sounds once i did the oil change. definetly from now on im gonna check the oil
