Well, heres the tool I made. And it works like a charm, made from scrap metal laying around

Now for the bad news. I took off the exhaust manifold sheild and found a 3" crack starting at the O2 sensor and going through the middle..

So before I go any further, does this look bad ? If so with the head gasket, all new belts,, gaskets etc. would it be easier for me to just find a used motor else where ??

you can just get another exhaust manifold they arent much.
yea thats a pretty bad crack

The manifold is bolted to the cat correct?

yea i believe it is on your model and i dont know if it separates. if you dont have insections then just replace it with any exhauset manifold from your gen.
