Question Oxygen Sensor Problem 1997 honda civic ex coupe

i recently had to change my primary o2 sensor, my cel was on and the code was p0135 i think, i changed it with a universal and my cel turned off for a few days then poped back on. i re spliced it to make sure the connection was good. and it still was on, could i have a faulty sensor or wtf is up with it. i looked at some OEM parts but there expensive i dont have to much money any ideas?

Make sure the sensor is getting power (from fuse 15) with the key on, on the yellow and black wire in the harness plug. The gen 6's especially early ones have a problem where the wires short out behind the engine on the intake manifold bracket.
