Default Passenger window-04 civic

I am having a problem with my passenger window on my 2004 civic coupe. It seemed like the motor died in it. So, first i checked the fuse of course and that fuse is fine. Then I paid to get a new window motor($94 from the dealership) did the whole installation myself. Put everything back together and it's still not working. It is stuck down quite abit so a passerby would easily be able to get into my car. I took it apart and looked at it again to make sure everything is hooked up and in the right place and it is. Any ideas as to what it could be? Any help is much appreciated! Starting college next month so gotta get this fixed now!

Do you get continuity at the motor plug when you hit the switch on the door? Maybe the switch went bad. ohmeter only costs a few bucks at the hardware store if you dont have one.

Honeslty do not know how to test that. I tried both switches, driver side and passenger side. Neither of them work.

Broken wires between the door and the rest of the car are also common. Open the driver's door. Turn the key on. Press the "up" button. If the window still doesn't move, hold the button and wiggle the wire bundle that goes between the door and the rest of the car.

For reference, an ohmmeter (multimeter) is just a little device that has two metal probes and can test for continuity in a circuit by showing you the amount of resistance. Infinite resistance means the circuit is not complete, low resistance or nearly zero means you have a circuit. If the circuit is good it should read infinite resistance until you hit the switch. Very straightforward. Like said above you may have wiring issues. At least the multimeter will be a tool to troubleshoot if you want.

Neither door buttons are working to bring the window up. So can't just be the switch on one door. Maybe where the two currents from both of the doors meet?
