Ok so I am correcting myself from Im going to guess you have a manual trans and if so those 2 connectors prob go to an auto tran but sense you dont have that they are supposed to be disconnected, I found this out while trying to figure out what I bent when I had an incident where I had to curb check my car and found thoses on the back side of the engine. The way they saved money at the factory was to use the same harnesses for both man and auto trans I had a 99 Neon that had a man tran but utilized a flexplate instead of a flywheel but those were only produced from the Ill plant the mexico plant still used the flywheel and flexplate depending on the trans

If you reset the ECU, do the same codes return? If not, ignore them.

I think those are just two blind plugs where one power wire supplies voltage to numerous components.
